Frasiga havreflarn - Crispy Oat Thins
All I can say is ! these are so quick to make, so easy and so so good! These thin oat cookies are lovely as they are, but if you drizzle a little bit of melted chocolate over them they rise to a whole new level! If you feel like being even more extravagant, fill them with buttercream or a chocolate creme filling.
Make them, I promise you will not be disappointed!
Ingredients:
75 g. butter
1 1/2 dl. sugar
1 egg
3 1/2 dl. rolled oats
1 tbsp. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Method:
Set the oven to 200 C (390 F). Melt the butter and let it cool slightly before pouring it over the oats. Let this rest for a few minutes.
Whisk the egg and sugar. Pour over the oat mixture and add the flour with the baking powder mixed in. Combine into a even batter.
Spoon dollops of batter onto a baking sheath lined with baking parchment. Really space them out because they will melt down and stick together otherwise. You decide how big you want these cookies to be, I like to make about 20 of them which is a nice size dollop.
Bake until they have some color, approx. 8-10 minutes.
Oh, and they are absolutely delicious served with ice cream! Have fun making this no-fail cookie!
